This $149.99 payment reserves your Gravity Sew Along kit. Once purchased, you must call the shop to put your credit card on file, (408) 735-9830 . You will be charged the 2nd payment of $150.00 in November when the fabrics and pattern are available. If you wish for your kit to be shipped, please do not select shipping, but rather let us know when you call to put your credit card on file. You will receive either free shipping for this kit or you may choose to attend the BOM Sunday Sew for the duration of the Sew Along*.

This is the 10th anniversary of Julie Herman's Gravity BOM pattern and these kits are only available for a limited time. Reserving one now is the best way to guarantee that you’ll be able to get one when they arrive at The Granary.

In November, you will receive the complete kit and pattern. The Gravity 2025 Sew Along is 10-months, starting in January 2025, on-line, with Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts. She will guide you through making the blocks with the Hex N More and Super Sidekick rulers each month. Gravity is a queen size quilt, 97" x 96". You can sign up here for the sew along emails from Julie Herman.

Have fun with the subtle color variations of the Gravity blocks. There is no need to stress about precisely matching fabric or color placements from the block to block. The beauty of this design, and the variety of fabrics and colours used to create it, is that each quilt will take on a subtle and distinct look and feel of it's own.  The rainbow of Northcott Tile packs (10" square sets) are arranged in block order to make creating monthly blocks a breeze!  

There will be enough left over fabric in the kit to make the bonus Stellar Pillow (20" x 20") to perfectly complement your Gravity Quilt.  Complete instructions for this project are included in the pattern.

Full size templates are provided in the pattern, however the shapes used to create the blocs can also be more easily cut using the Hex N More and Super Sidekick rulers from Jaybird Designs. Full instructions for using the rulers come with the rulers and is included in the pattern. If you choose to join the QAL, these rulers will be used in the videos. If you purchase the rulers from us, you will receive 10% off. Please let the staff know if you would like to purchase the rulers (with 10% off) when you call the leave your credit card information.

This is an intermediate-level project.

The Kit Includes:
 - Gravity BOM pattern by Julie Herman of Jaybird quilts
 - Fabric for the quilt top and binding from the Stonhenge Gradations and by Northcott Fabrics (you will receive 3-10" tile packs for the colored star and 5 cuts of yardage for the background)

Backing fabric is NOT INCLUDED. You will need 3 yds of 108" wide fabric for the backing.

*If you do not need your kit shipped, the purchase of this QAL entitles you to attend the FREE monthly BOM Sunday Sew (usually the 2nd Sunday of the month). You will receive an email each month, a few weeks before the BOM Sunday Sew so you can reserve a spot.
