Feature It 3 Quilt Pattern
Finished size: 70-1/2" x 90-1/2"
Perfect for an all-over print you want to feature in the 10" solid fabric blocks. Use up a bunch of coordinating scraps or use 16 coordinating fat eighths for the 16-patch blocks. Pick out another, fun, coordinating color as the accent (half of the half square triangle units).
Using the same color for half of the half square triangle units, first (pieced) border, and outer border pulls everything together and makes the blocks look like they are floating on-point. This quilt looks like it’s made up of blocks set on the diagonal, but it’s not that complicated. The 10" blocks are easily assembled in horizontal rows. The large half square triangle blocks are easy to put together and the 16-patch blocks go together easily using strip-piecing echniques.
Experience with rotary cutting and piecing necessary. This is an advanced-beginner level project.
