In recognition of their 40-year anniversary Aurifil has created a 6-month Thread Lab education/skills program. The Thread Labs will be delivered in the form of a subscription box each month containing Aurifil threads and related materials as well as exclusive access to digital content each month including thread education, skills labs, covering 8 different techniques, with a free project offered each month. Each month features a different instructor who will share their knowledge in exclusive videos. Retail value of the physical contents of the box each month will be $100. Access to videos, projects patterns, and the workshop at The Granary are bonus materials you will have access to each month with your subscription.

The full range of Aurifil thread weights and fiber content will be covered. Techniques covered include: Thread Fundamentals, Foundation Paper Piecing, Machine Appliqué, Needle Turn Appliqué, Big Stitch Quilting, Machine Quilting, Cross Stitch, and Embroidery.

Audrey will host an optional, monthly Thread Labs Workshop for those in the program, the month after you receive your box on the first or second Saturday of the month, 12-2pm. There, you can watch the videos with other threadofiles, share what you've tried, and bring your machine to play a little. Exact dates and times for the workshops at the Granary are listed below.

The cost of the Aurfil Thread Laps Subscription is $100/mo plus tax. This purchase reserves your Thread Lab spot and covers the month 6 payment (December). You must call the shop to put your Credit Card on file. You will be charged $100 by the 15th of each month for Months 1-5 (July-November). Note that this is a non-cancellable commitment and will be charged for all 6 months. You can have your box shipped to you each month for an additional $8.99/mo.

Introducing Thread Labs, Aurifil’s 2023 subscription series curated in celebration of our 40th Anniversary. Thread Labs is a six part series that tells the story of Aurifil— from our history and unique production process to an in-depth education on our revered threads. This subscription is a must-have for both the Aurifil enthusiast and novice. Each lab presents a project designed to educate and inspire via a featured thread weight. Each month in addition to your box, you will recieve a QR code, website address and password to use to login to the digital content. This secure online portal plays host to exclusive content including downloadable project PDFs, educator interviews, thread tutorials, and more. Month one provides early access to a newfangled swatch book, an exploratory Aurifilosophy session with Aurifil’s Master Educator, Karen L. Miller, as well as other essentials.
