Garden Guest Collage Quilt Kit 24" x 31" in Garden Gate Batiks by Kate Colleran for Island Batiks

Garden Guest is inspired by the vibrant and playful charm of a chameleon nestled among a garden’s lush foliage and delicate flowers. Perfect as a centerpiece or a unique wall hanging, this pattern and fabric kit invites quilters to explore the art of raw edge appliqué using larger, beginner friendly shapes while adding a touch of tradition in the use of 1 inch English paper pieced (EPP) hexagons. Hexies are sewn down to border strips in the left and top borders. Hexies make up the area under the chameleon and branch he sits on.  You may opt to just use the fabric to collage the area under the chameleon, rather than make this area in hexagons.

The Wallhanging Quilt Pattern, which features Raw Edge Applique and English Paper Piecing, includes full scale Applique Layout Guide insert, full sized reversed applique shapes insert, 1 inch EPP Hexagon reference page, custom quilt label design, and coloring page.
