Beginning Machine Sewing for Adults - Basic Zipper Bags

This class is geared towards adults or teens 16+ who have completed our beginning machine sewing class and are ready to learn how to sew a basic zipper bag. Students are guided through making a lined zipper bag with boxed-corners, following a simple pattern. This is an all-inclusive class: included in the class fee, is the use of The Granary sewing machines and tools, and 2 complete bag kits (one to make in class and one to take home).

To qualify to take this class you should have completed our beginning machine sewing class, or equivalent. You will receive two precut bag kits that include all fabric, interfacing, fusible fleece, and zippers required to complete the projects. You will complete one bag in class and if time allows, begin working on the second bag. 

This is an all-inclusive class; you do not have to purchase any additional materials or do any preparation. Use of Granary sewing machines and tools during class time, and all materials to make the two projects are included in the fee. 

Several different kits in various colorways will be available to choose from for your zipper bags.

Please note, kits are precut and ready to assemble. We will NOT cover rotary cutting or quilting in this class.

- 3 hours of instruction

- Two complete kits to make the project shown (choose from several color-ways for the zipper bag)

- In-house pattern with guidance and photos.

- Use of Granary tools and notions

- Use of Granary sewing machines
