Ornament Make & Take Workshop - Perforated Paper Cross Stitch Ornaments

Join Megan and Carol for a 2-hour Make & Take class to learn how-to make perforated paper cross stitch ornaments. You'll make a small Arnie ornament (the little blue-bird in the photo) to learn all the techniques and take home a complete kit to make another ornament of your choice. Everything you need is included to finish both projects into cute ornaments. Extra kits will be available for purchase. You should be familiar with how-to cross stitch for this class. Children 12 and up are welcome with an accompanying adult.

Note: This workshop assumes you have some familiarity with how-to cross stitch. We won't cover basic cross stitching, but rather focus on the special requirements for cross stitching on perforated paper, using floss, beading, cutting out, and finishing with felt and a hanger.

We will make a small, 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" Arnie to start. We will cover how-to start your project, using the floss, adding the beads, cutting out, and finishing with felt backing and a hanger.

You will then pick a kit for your next project (included in your class fee) from our wide variety of perforated paper cross stitch kits, click here to see what we have available. Many of you will be able to start your second project during the workshop.

- Instruction on perforated paper cross stitch techniques
- Arnie Loves You perforated cross stitch kit (includes pattern, paper, floss, beads, needles)
- One Mill Hill perforated cross stitch kit of your choice (includes pattern, paper, floss, beads, needles)
- Floss Organizer, Needle Threader, Bead Tray, and 4-compartment Bead Storage Box 
- Felt and ribbon to finish ornaments
- Zipper project bag
- Use of Granary tools/notions to work on projects during the workshop
- Cookies and Cider!
