Ladybug Collage Class with Audrey Vallen

Join Audrey for a workshop to make this fun "Scarlett" Ladybug Collage wall hanging designed by Laura Heine of Fiberworks. Audrey is a Laura Heine Certified Collage Teacher. The pattern, fabric kit for "Scarlett", and basic materials are included in the class fee. Come spend a relaxing day learning fusible fabric collage!

In this 6 hour class you will learn fabric collage based on Laura Heine's technique as outlined in this pattern. You will learn how to set-up your project, fuse the fabric,  get started cutting and fusing the ladybug, and see a demo of the background technique. You will most likely not finish the complete project in the workshop, but you will have all the foundational knowledge to complete the project on your own.

The kit includes the pattern and fabric to make the 30" x 32" collaged wall hanging, including binding.  Batting and backing are not included.

We will take a 1/2 hour lunch break so be sure to bring lunch and a drink. The classroom can be chilly, so bring a sweater if you tend to get cold.

The Class fee includes:

 - Pattern and authentic Fiberworks fabric kit from Laura Heine/Fiberworks for Scarlett (Ladybug)
 - 3 yds Steam a Seam 2 - 24" wide
 - 30 x 32" piece of collage foundation (Pattern-ease)

No sewing machine is needed during class.  No pre-class preparation is required.

 - Rotary cutter (either 78mm or 45mm)
 - Smallish rectangular ruler. 3 x 12" is good.
 - Pencil.  May be regular or mechanical, but mechanical is preferred
