Free Motion Quilting II - Beyond Meandering with Julie Cefalu

Take your free motion skills to the next level in this class that guides you beyond the basics of meandering and loops. You'll get to practice several background fills and border designs as well as outline a large scale floral fabric and work with stencils. We'll discuss quilting within shapes, borders and all-over designs. You should be comfortable with basic free motion quilting or have taken Julie's Free Motion Quilting I - The Basics class before taking this class. Materials included; bring your own sewing machine (or rent one from The Granary).

Make sure your sewing machine is in good working order and that you know how to use it. There will not be time in class to diagnose issues with your machine. You will need a free-motion quilting foot or an open-toe embroidery foot for your machine for this class. Bring all your machine attachments, the manual, and don't forget the power cord and foot pedal!

 - 3 quilt sandwiches for practice

 - blue water-soluble marking pen
 - 2 mylar quilting stencils
