Gem Grocery Bag Workshop

Come to this all-inclusive workshop and leave with a completed Gem Grocery Bag - a great gift for someone! Bring back those nostalgic memories of touring the West in the summer and collecting polished rocks at each roadside stop. This terrific, roomy grocery bag is perfect for your inner rock hound, your favorite gemologist, or for anyone that enjoys lovely things! The capacious bag is made using Kona navy cotton for the base and handles and jewel The Gem Collector print fabric from Robert Kaufman Fabrics for the outside. The Gem Collector sea glass fabric is used for the lining. 

Just come and have fun. Nothing to prepare. Nothing to pack up. Carol will guide you through making this straight-forward tote bag. 

This is a confident beginner class. You should be proficient at rotary cutting and piecing.

We'll provide all the materials, sewing machine, and tools, along with cookies and cider. Those attending the class will also recieve one of Carol's special coordinating key chains featuring Blue Jasper and Howlite polished gemstones. 

Kit includes:
- Grocery Bag pattern by Ariga Wilson for Robert Kaufman Fabrics
- Fabric for the tote ouside and lining as shown in the sample photo
- Fusible Fleece for the bag batting and Shape Flex for the bag handles

Once you've made this terrific tote, you'll be an expert and want to make many more!
