Beginning Hand Applique with Dianne Sheppard

Join Dianne and learn how to hand applique using the needle turn method with freezer paper. Once you've taken his class, you'll be a hand applique expert! Book and all materials required included in the fee - just bring yourself!

Diane will guide you through the entire needle-turn hand applique process to make the beautiful 16" x 16" wall hanging shown from Jane Pittman's Applique The Basics and Beyond 2nd Edition book. You will learn applique techniques including how to deal with peaks and valleys like those in the heart flower as well as how to make circles and bias stems. Dianne will also show examples of how to embellish the flower and leaves (veins, etc.). No need to buy materials or prepare for the class, everything is included in your class fee. You will take home the book and a complete hand applique starter kit as well as all materials required to finish your wall hanging. The Granary will supply any other tools needed during the class.
