Christmas in July
We will be saving ALL of our holiday fabric until Saturday, July 13. The bolts and bolts that we’ve ordered will be stashed under “Sewfie”, in the storage room, in the bathroom (we do have 2!) and even in our personal garages! The elves will arrive at the Granary late Friday, July 12th (or very early on the 13th!) to unpack, organize and showcase all the wonderful Christmas fabrics! As a special treat you will enjoy 20% off all Christmas fabric on that day (1/2 yard minimum cut off the bolt). We will also be gathering new holiday patterns and books. You'll be inspired to get started on those holiday projects!
Buggy Barn Bonanza
Join Paula & Jody for the most fun you've ever had while quilting! Pick your very own Buggy Barn project and Paula & Jody will be there every month to guide you through to the end.....multiple projects are ok! So what's a Buggy Barn project you ask? The Buggy Barn technique is a stack, cut, shuffle and sew process that allows you to be a little less precise with your cutting and piecing because you always trim your blocks to the correct size when you’re done! This rather addictive technique will open up a whole new avenue of quilting for you, and you’ll find yourself selecting fabric for your next Buggy Barn project before you leave class!
Last Wed. of the month $20/session OR $60 for 4 + Book of your choice Wed. May 29, June 26, July 31, Aug. 28: 6-9pm
Join Paula & Jody on Friday, May 24 at 6:30 for a Buggy Barn Reunion! Bring your Buggy Barn projects for show & tell. We will provide the beverages and you are invited to bring a sweet or savory treat to share. Please call or stop by the shop to let us know if you'll be joining us!

Paula & Julie's Block of the Month - Tyler Rose Parade (Class Full)
Paula and Julie will begin their fourth block of the month quilt together in January. This year’s stunning quilt, Tyler Rose Parade, comes from designer, Deb Luttrell, of Stitchin’ Heaven, and features 30 beautiful, pieced blocks—15 unique blocks and 15 of the same alternating block. Each block is named for and celebrates a rose from Tyler, Texas, the rose capital of America. The finished quilt measures 88” x 102”. This program is designed for the advanced beginner to intermediate quilter and will focus on precision cutting, piecing and pressing so that this quilt and all your future quilts will go together in a snap. You will learn fool-proof accurate rotary cutting skills, how to obtain the perfect ¼” seam allowance, and pinning and pressing techniques. In addition, Paula and Julie will also share with you other quick, easy and accurate methods for making elements of various other quilt blocks (e.g., half-square triangles, triangles within squares and divided rectangles) which you may not even know exist! This is the perfect opportunity to hone your quilting skills, learn new techniques for faster and easier piecing and make this beautiful quilt under the guidance of Paula and Julie! Classes meet on the first Friday afternoon and Saturday morning of each month—you can choose which session works best for you. If you have to miss a class, no problem—make-up sessions are available. One-time fee of $110 for 12-month program; patterns sold separately.

Have you joined us for our “Happy Hour” yet? This Friday evening get-together has quickly become a favorite among many customers! Come for some appetizers and beverages and spend the evening seeing the latest and greatest merchandise in the shop and a demo of new techniques. The projects are made using a variety of precut goods - 2½” strip sets, fat quarter bundles or 10" squares. Each month a specially-coordinated bundle of pre-cut fabrics and a surprise pattern will be introduced along with a thorough demonstration of assembly techniques. You’ll provide your own background, accent and/or border fabrics (as necessary depending upon the pattern) so everyone’s quilts will be unique. One month prior to the meeting, you can come by the shop or check the website for a sneak-peek of the featured fabrics. The pattern will remain a secret until the meeting and is always free with your purchase of the fabric bundle. Join us for “Happy Hour” whichever months you choose for just $40!
